Recently the wire service which is a news organization responsible for sending out syndicated information copy to subscribers by means of a wire or by satellite transmission stated that the Denmark's biggest news agency will stay offline for at least another day following a hacking attack this week and has rejected a ransom demand by hackers to release locked information. Ritzau Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Lars Vesterloekke couldn't confirm as to how massive the ransom demand was behind the expert attack had left a folder with a message that the Company didn't open after it followed the instructions from its advisers.
Ritzau which is assigned with the task of delivering text and photos to Danish media said that it had transferred its emergency distribution to clients to six live blogs which presents for a better overview.
Vesterloekke stated that when it goes as desired, then they can gradually be back to normal on Thursday further adding that the attack has forced the editorial systems to shut down as about a quarter of Ritzau 's 100 servers had been damaged.
Ritzau has also hired an external security firm which deals with the responsibility of cleaning up after hacker attacks.
Clear information have not been revealed as to who was behind the attack that started Tuesday. Because 1866, Copenhagen-based Ritzau has spread the information and produced news for Danish media, organizations and firms.
